In addition to our report a pot hole service you can also easily report a broken street light to Shoebury Conservatives. Email us the name of the road, location and the number on the lighting columun to reportabrkenstreetlight@rockemail.com and let Shoebury Conservatives do the rest.

Delaware Road Grass Verge Parking Pilot

Shoebury Conservatives receives complaints from time to time regarding vehicles parked on grass verges.

Many of the grass verges in the town do not have yellow lines which means a PCN can not be issued.

The police can not interviene as they have to catch vehicles in the act driving up the pavement.

From the 1 April however, new legislation comes into force making it illegal for cars to be parked on a grass verge even if there is no yellow line and the police do not catch them in the act. The penality will be by a PCN.

Shoebury Conservatives are pleased that Delaware Road has been chosen to pilot the new legislation and if proved successful it will be extended across the town.

Cllr Tony Cox commented:

"This issue is a particular problem in some areas of the town including West Shoebury. I am delighted that Delaware Road has been chosen to pilot the new legislation and I am hopeful that it will prove successful".
