Shoebury Conservatives have today condemed 2010 Shoeburyness Ward Independent Party candidate Anne Chalk for her attack on disabled users of East Beach.
Anne's Labour sudo Independent Party website today reports that residents are angry that a new path has been installed to link the High Street to East Beach and joins in the condemnation.
The new path as part of a package of measures to improve East Beach was designed to primarily assist disabled users accessing East Beach as no such facility currently exists.
The new will also make cycling safer, helps local businesses prosper especially in times of great difficulity and provide an illuminated path in the evenings when a new restaurant is opened.
On hearing the news, Shoeburyness Ward councillor Roger Hadley commented:
"I didn't think Anne could stoop any lower over this. We have had her porkies over a poll featured on her website, the gypsis for Gunners Park claims, Anne duping people into thinking her website is an 'Independent' website when it has a Labour website address and now this.
"It's no wonder that a fellow Independent Party councillor has called her a loose cannon.
"Anne Chalk has even had discussions with Council officers who have explained what the path's intended uses are for. I believe that the new path is an excellent addition to the overall package of improvements to East Beach''
The new cabinet for Southend Council has been announced and see's the new face of West Shoebury ward councillor Tony Cox added to the team.
