Shoebury is to get its very own tast of London 2012, thanks to the installation of an adiZone - a multi-sport outdoor gym venue.
They boast sporting facilities inspired by Olympic and Paralympic sports and include a Basketball, Football and Tennis area, a climbing wall, an outdoor gym and an open area to encourage dance, aerobics and Gymnastics.
Free to use and open 365 days a year, the adiZone will located in Shoebury Park.
In a joint statement, Cllr's Tony Cox and Roger Hadley welcomed the news:
"We have fought long and hard for investment into Shoebury and this is the last in a long line of improvement and investment in Shoebury.
