22/01/10 - Haiti Earthquake Appeal

On 12 January 2010, a 7.0- magnitude earthquake hit the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince - the worst earthquake to have hit the country in 200 years.

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) have launched a high profile appeal in response to the devastating earthquake and urgently need your help.

The DEC is an umbrella body for 13 of the largest UK based humanitarian organisations, including the British Red Cross, Oxfam and Save the Children.
